Recently I went on a long trip carrying a big notebook borrowed from someone. As I carry this bulky bag of laptop. I was in the urge of getting a portable PC for myself. But there is always some factors that stop me from buying them. Notebook is too big for me and it is very expensive if I want a notebook that's smaller than 9 inchs wide. Pocket PC is too small. I will have trouble using them. It is also very expensive. Not to mention it can't play PC games.

 

When I stomble apon this device, Medion RIM 1000. It is a Ultra Mobile PC (UMPC) still in development. As you search UMPC on internet, you will find many other devices. What makes this one stands out from the rest? Here is a list of key features.

- Standard 6.5-inch touch screen, WiFi wireless, and Bluetooth 2.0.

 

Good thing about UMPC is that it is less expensive and still powerful enough to run games and WinXP applications. I am definitly going to get my hands on this baby. I will let you guys know how good it is when I get it.
