Just want to share my latest update on my program. I created this program for my very own specific need. The program is designed based on my file organization and image size.
- The image size is normally 600x480.
- Only about 15 to 25 photos per folder since they are under the same theme.
- Six of above folder are stored in one folder. My program will display all images in all those sub-folders. More than six folders will start to pull too much photos and taking a lot of memory.
- Store above folders for more organization. This will enable the program's first thumb view.
- Store above folders for deepest organization. This will enable the program's second thumb view.
- Recommend screen size, 1920x1200.
- In practice, the folder will be organized as, Vacations Album -> Vacation1 -> Day1 -> Location1 -> Photos
System Requirements.
- HTA enabled web browser.
- ActiveX supported web browser.
- Visual Basic Script and Java Script enabled web browser.
- Window Media Player support for the mini-video viewer.
- To sum it up, it is recommended to run with fairly recent IE and Windows.
Changes over previous version.
- Thumb image generator for faster thumb view in the next visit and less memory usage.
- Split up the code since it is getting difficult to keep the whole code in one page.
Installation.
- Unzip the file.
- Double Click the "JMC_Media_Viewer"
- Play Around. (Don't worry about your files, it does not change anything in your system, except the "Thumb DB" that stores your thumb images.)
