This time to share the freeware I am using or recommended using. No half assed freeware will be recommend from me because that defeats the purpose of making a blog for it.

Paint is one of the few Windows build-in applications that haven’t been upgrade at all. The Paint for Vista is almost identical to what it was since Window 95. Besides very minor updates, Paint is as primitive as it can get. Even now, you cannot resize the image by image width and height, only by percentage.

You would wonder what's up with that. Vista has a really nice just-in-time image editing in the Windows Media View. But, Paint is still has no upgrade. Well, one reason I can tell you is that MS will get sued for making a better Paint, just like WMP. Anyway, from the website, this is supposed to be a free Paint for the new Windows, which is Vista. Sadly it does not come with Vista.

It has all the basic features you need. And it has advanced features you see on top-of-the-line image editing tool, Photoshop, such as layers and editing history list. It does not have enough filters as Photoshop, but you know, this is free compare to extremely expensive Photoshop.

Also it has some of the best features that are not presented in Photoshop CS2. Image Tab with Thumb View. This is crucial when you want to open up multiple images. Once you tried it, you will know it is so much more convenient. And as you can see, the control panels are half-transparent, so they don't block the image fully.

 Amazingly, it is done by two people...... wow..........
